The relic and the cord
Brass, wood, glass and leather. None of it is sold. The key is yours on arrival, the beads are yours when you have done the thing. Lose the key and you buy the Guild a round; that is the whole fine.

There are no points and no tiers. There is a key, a map, a cord of beads and a Code. Everything you earn here you earn by showing up. Most of it you discover rather than get told.
Check in and you are a Dayo, a newcomer. The first bead goes on the cord. One small thing is asked of you before the sun goes down.
Your room key is a relic, not a card. It opens your door, and a few other things on the lot you will find out about. Keep it when you leave.
The map on your wall starts blank. Every quest, every place you find on your own, goes on it. Have it sealed before you go.
Each finished quest adds a bead to your cord. A full cord opens doors that money does not. The cord comes home with you.

See the questsAfter a few stays, the Guild will tell you which tribe you have been running with. You do not choose it; the quests you keep saying yes to choose it for you. Each tribe is one of the five things an island needs to survive.
The willingness to defend what matters. The surf, the long paddle, the thing you were afraid of.
The knowledge of why things are as they are. The old stories, the moon, the names of places.
How to make things that last. Salt, rope, a roof, a table, a fire that holds.
That an island is not a prison. Boats, tides, the far side, the way home in the dark.
How to feed a civilisation from where it stands. The market, the kitchen, the grill, the garden.
The second stay is where the Guild starts to pay you back. Returning members are known by name at the gate, their cord and map carry over, and the room is booked direct at the Guild rate.

The gate remembers. Second time through, someone says your name before you say theirs, and the question is not "have you stayed with us before" but "where did you get to last time".

Honor. Say what you will do, then do it. Pay the fisherman what the fisherman is owed.
Respect. Local hosts, homegrown food, the island's older story. Phones in the bag when asked.
Resilience. Swell cancels the boat, cloud cancels the sky. Deferred, never failed. Come back.
A small place that stays small. No points, no tiers, no leaderboard. What you earn here you earn by showing up.
The Guild has no sign-up form. You join by arriving. Book a room, cross the gate, take the key, and the first bead is already on the cord.
